The Vice-Chancellor has announced an initiative which acknowledges the strategic importance of quality learning and teaching in producing ACU’s distinctive graduates, who are highly valued by prospective employers.

Suitably qualified academic staff are encouraged to submit an application for promotion to a teaching-focussed associate professor or professor role.  There is a role available in each of the four faculties. Continuing and fixed-term staff members at Academic Level C or Academic Level D are eligible to apply.

How to demonstrate your contribution to teaching:

The successful applicants will be required to demonstrate commitment to teaching excellence and the teaching-focussed Academic Career Pathway. They must be currently undertaking significant quality teaching, and also provide evidence of a sustained outstanding contribution to curriculum development and the scholarship of teaching. The successful applicants will need to demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively to produce excellent outcomes in learning and teaching, and provide leadership and mentoring to support the development of early career academics and sessional staff.

Applications:

Applicants are asked to complete the Teaching Focussed Academic Promotions 2016 Pro-forma and submit an application by email to ACUAcademicPromotions@acu.edu.au by Monday, 23 January 2017.
