Parking

If you've checked out your available sustainable transport options but have chosen to drive, see below for information about parking.

Staff parking

Access to the staff parking areas is available only with an ACU issued staff parking sticker. To obtain a parking sticker you must first complete a service desk request. The parking stickers are then available for collection from Campus Operations during office hours. Please ensure you have your car registration number on hand when collecting a sticker.

Student parking

There are two designated parking areas for students:

  • The front car park on the right as you enter the campus from Barker Road
  • The far western car park beside the Creative Arts Building (access off Barker Road).

Students should NOT park in the staff car park at the southern and eastern side of S Block or at the Clancy building through the boom gates unless parking in a disabled spot. Please note parking is limited.

Reserved car parking

There are a number of reserved parking spaces on the Main Campus (outside E Block at the roundabout) and the Clancy Campus (inside the entrance facing the street).

Disabled parking

There are a number of disabled parking spaces available on campus, refer to the Strathfield Campus Map.

Students, staff and visitors wishing to park in designated disabled parking spaces must hold and display an RTA issued pass.

Bike

Strathfield Campus is close to several major cycling routes, and there are two bike lock-up points on campus. These are located at:

Main Campus Bike Racks

Bike racks can be found on the main campus. Once entering the Campus through the main gate on Barker Rd, the bike racks are located on the right hand side of the driveway on the grassed area as shown.

Edward Clancy Building

Bike Lockers Bike lockers can be found in the rear car park of the Edward Clancy building. The Edward Clancy building is located at 163-167 Albert Rd, once entering you following the driveway on the right hand side of the building around to the rear car park. Once there the bike lockers are directly in front of you as you go down the drive.

There are also end of trip facilities provided on campus for cyclists:

Showers Male and female showers are located in the Edward Clancy building. Once you enter the building proceed to the 2nd floor, once at the top of the stairs turn left then left again heading down the hallway. The showers blocks are located in male and female toilet areas on the left hand side of the hall approximately halfway down the hallway.

To plan your bike trip, try using the website Ride the City, which provides many detailed bike routes.

Staff amenities

There are lockers, showers and bike racks available at every campus, and they are improving as we develop our campuses. The link below contains a document that lists the location and other important details of your campus's bike racks, lockers, and showers.

Walk

We all know that physical activity is good for your health, studies and general wellbeing. The easiest way to get physical is to incorporate walking into your everyday activities, such as your journey to campus.

The Bay-to-Bay Cycle and Walkway, which runs from Ryde to Botany Bay, passes within 750m of the main gate of Strathfield Campus.
