LEO has several different tools and methods to display and disseminate the learning materials your students will need in your unit.

The Text editor is used to enter and format text across all the resources, activities and settings pages within your LEO unit. It works a little like a simple online version of Word, allowing you to change the size of text, align paragraphs, add headings, colour and other formatting. There are many text editing and content embedding functionalities available to use in this this text editor.
The File resource allows you to upload and display a variety of resources in your unit, such as a PDFs, Word documents, spreadsheets, images and other file types.
The Folder resource acts as a container for individual files and other sub folders. It creates an organised, hierarchical structure for information to displayed as a list.
The Page resource within LEO functions in the same way that a web page does. You can add text, images, and links to both internal and external resources. Additionally, you can embed video content from Kaltura, YouTube, and Vimeo. You can also 'embed' files within the page, meaning you can upload content (for example a PDF) which will then be linked to, and accessible from, the page itself.
The Book resource allows you to create a multi-page learning resource in a well-structured and familiar book-like format. Books are a flexible yet simple way to present learning material for your unit. In addition to text, Books can contain a variety of additional resources including images, hyperlinks and embedded media (e.g. video and podcasts).
A Leganto Reading List can be added to your unit by using the External Tool activity. This lets you make a list of reading material available through the ACU Library system and approved providers, as well as external links for your students to access.
Using video in LEO units can be a challenge for a number of reasons, however quality video content can greatly enhance engagement in your unit. There are free tools and help available for utilising ACU systems to create, store and stream videos in your units.
