The first step to convert your unit into the new template is to roll over your existing unit just as you normally would in preparation for a new teaching semester.
Please see the LEO guides for instructions on rolling over an existing unit.
The ACU LEO template has been implemented to improve consistency in navigation and user experience in LEO units across ACU
Key items, such as the Unit outline, the Announcement forum and assessment information should be easily accessible and in the same place regardless of Discipline, School or Faculty. The template does not take away academic freedom in terms of the learning activities and resources, but does make suggestions about how this content can be scaffolded.
The LEO template is in the LEO Tile format and has required blocks, including Copyright and Acknowledgement of Country.
There are key titles for the first three tiles:
The Exemplar unit for 2021 onwards is a self-enrolling LEO unit which showcases the ACU LEO template and provides resources and a template guide to help understand and implement the template in your unit.
The Faculty of Law and Business has a few extra requirements so use the Exemplar unit for 2021 Law and Business units instead. It also provides a resources and a template guide to help understand and implement the template in your Law and Business unit.

Review the Exemplar unit for 2021 onwards. It gives examples in the weekly or module tiles of how your learning activities and resources can be scaffolded to give students a better understanding of how, what and why they are doing the activities. The weekly or module tiles are where the teaching creativity can flow. Use videos, quizzes and interactive activities you bring the unit to life. Link the activities to the learning outcomes, real world examples and the assessment.
