LG_BackupQuiz Backup of a quiz activity allows you to save a copy and restore it in another unit.

Copying the quiz activity from one unit to another is a two-step process:

  1. Create a backup file containing the selected items and information
  2. Restore the backup file into the required unit
No student information (such as results) are saved in a backup.

See below for instructions on how to use the Backup and Restore functions.

How to create a back up of a quiz

  • Navigate to your LEO unit and click the activity to view it
  • On the activity page, click the Cog icon to open the tool administration menu
  • Choose the Backup option:
    Quiz Backup Menu
  • Step through the backup screens, clicking the Next button at the bottom of each screen to continue
  • When you reach the last screen, click the Perform Backup button to save the backup file. Note: you can modify the name of the backup file, but do NOT change the last three letters of the backup file (mbz) after the full stop. This is the file extension and needs to remain as it is.
  • A progress bar will be shown as the backup file is created. When complete, click the Continue button.
.

For further information about the backup and restore option, refer to Backup and restore functions in LEO

Note: when you restore a quiz from one unit to another, the questions in the quiz will be added to the Question bank.
