Using breakout rooms is a way to separate your students for short group discussions using a webinar.
Breakout rooms split your Zoom meeting into separate session allowing participants to work independently in groups for a specific task or activity. As a meeting host you can create breakout rooms automatically or manually to assign participants.
Enabling breakout rooms for smaller groups can be used to create interaction or collaboration. Smaller group activities help build relationships within teams, allowing space to share creative ideas and application of knowledge. Once the main meeting is split into these smaller rooms the host or co-host can switch between the rooms at any time.
Visit the pre-assigning participants to breakout rooms page to learn more about how to pre-assign rooms.
