The Performance Review and Planning (PRP) process provides a framework for identifying, evaluating and developing performance that assists staff to meet individual professional and work goals as well as their collective work area and organisational goals. This information session is available to support supervisors make the most of the performance and development conversations during the annual PRP process.
Be familiar with the Performance Review and Planning for Professional Staff Policy;
Understand the obligations to prepare for the staff member’s review meeting;
Recognise the benefits of the PRP process for you, for your whole team and for ACU.
What will I learn?
You will learn how to:
Prepare for the PRP conversation using the supervisor checklist;
Have a great conversation with the staff member;
Utilise the tools and resources available to assist you;
Evaluate the staff member’s performance;
Set objectives for the staff member using the SMART principles.
You will also develop a better understanding of the University’s PRP process in the context of its Mission and strategic goals.
