ACU can offer exam supervision to external students/external examinations on weekdays. Availability may be limited on the following dates:

  • Semester 1 2020
    • 1 June to 14 June
    • 13 July to 17 July
  • Semester 2 2020
    • 2 November to 15 November
    • 14 December to 18 December

Exams will not be offered at the following times:

  • Weekend and Public Holidays
  • ACU Standard holiday break from 24 December until 1 January

ACU offers two exam sessions a day;

  • Morning session
    • Examinations commence at 9.30am Local Time.
      Students must arrive at AskACU before 9.15am Local Time.
  • Afternoon session
    • Examinations commence at 1.30pm Local Time.
      Students must arrive at AskACU before 1.15pm Local Time.
  • There is a set fee of $200 AUD inc GST per student for a two-hour examinations.
  • An additional charge of $50 AUD inc GST per hour per student applies for examinations more than two hours in duration.

All exam requests should be received no later than three weeks before the exam.

The institution must submit the request online using login details provided by ACU. If you require a login, please contact the Examinations Office.

All exam papers should come with return postage – i.e. prepaid self-addressed courier satchels or Australia Post self-addressed Express Post envelopes.

Postal addresses will be provided upon approval of hosting exams.

  • All communication with the student will be between the home institution and their student. ACU will provide the home institution all relevant information.
  • It is the responsibility of the home institution to ensure that students sitting examinations at ACU are advised of the exam details (date/time/location) and confirm their attendance with their institution prior to the scheduled date of the exam.
  • ACU will issue a Tax Invoice to the home institution. ACU will not collect individual payments from students.
  • The tax invoice must be paid within 30 days of the date of invoice
  • It is the responsibility of the home institution to ensure that all examination papers and relevant materials are sent to Australian Catholic University to allow timely facilitation of examinations. The exam materials must arrive at the delivery address at least 5 business days before the scheduled date of the exam.
  • Students must report to AskACU Centre (addresses will be given to the institution), at least 15 minutes before the start of their examination (i.e. 9.15am or 1.15pm).
  • In the event of cancellation within five business days, 50% of the total booking amount will be refunded if we are unable to accommodate a mutually agreeable alternative exam time.
  • In the event of cancellation within two business days, no refund will be applicable.
  • Special arrangements examinations: examinations longer than two hours in duration and those with special requirements (e.g. use of a computer, special software, extra time, own room) may incur additional costs and will be quoted on a case-by-case basis.
  • ACU does not provide a photocopying or scanning service of completed examination papers.
