Video conference room upgrade in full swing

Work is ramping up on the technology upgrade of our non-teaching video conference meeting rooms.

The project that aims to upgrade 59 existing video conference rooms to the new Microsoft certified room system by the end of this year has already completed rooms in Canberra, Ballarat and Strathfield – with the focus now shifting to our larger campuses.

The rollout across North Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane is currently underway with two rooms on each campus being scheduled for upgrade each week. Regular weekly in-room training sessions have also been organised so you can get familiar with how to use the new room technology and its key features. Add a training session to your calendar here.

Booking the upgraded rooms

Here are the steps to remember:

  1. Web Room Booker - Make sure you book the video conference meeting room through the Web Room Booker system.
  2. Outlook - Remember to create a Teams (or Skype) meeting in Outlook and invite the room you have booked.
  3. In the room - Check the touchscreen and tap to Join.
