Support is available for staff

ACU is committed to supporting staff wellbeing.

Our staff and their immediate family have access to the Employee Assistance Program (EAP), which offers staff and their immediate family members access to professional and confidential counselling as well as a range of wellbeing resources.

How does the EAP work?

The EAP can provide counselling sessions (in person or over the phone) to staff members and their immediate family who are facing personal and/or work-related issues. The EAP also provides a Manager Support Service to support managers dealing with people in the workplace relating to their roles.

ACU’s EAP program is:

  • complimentary
  • voluntary
  • completely confidential (the program is delivered by an external provider, AccessEAP and your information is not shared with ACU)

How to contact AccessEAP

  • Assistance from the EAP is available 24/7 via phone on 1800 818 728.
  • Appointments can be made by contacting the EAP via the phone or the AccessEAP in Focus App.
  • A range of wellbeing resources are available via AccessEAP Online and in the AccessEAP in Focus App.

The AccessEAP in Focus App is available for download free of charge from the Apple App Store or Google Play. It provides a direct call function to put you straight in touch with support and assistance. Booking appointments and e-counselling can also be organised conveniently within the App.
