A message from the Chief Operating Officer Dr Stephen Weller.
I am pleased to announce that the next stage of the Service Central roll-out went live on Friday 15 February and incorporates IT services for staff.
The Service Central phone line and portal will provide a single location for help with IT, Properties & Facilities and HR services. Service Central staff will be able to assist you with your IT requests and troubleshooting queries. If your IT matter requires further assistance, they will be able to connect you with the right person in IT for the service you need.
The IT Service Portal will be retired and staff will be able to access IT help via the Service Central portal, or by calling Service Central (07) 3623 7272 between 7.30am and 6.30pm weekdays.
The Service Central roll-out will be completed by May 2019 and will enhance the staff experience through the way you access and receive the staff services provided by the Corporate Services portfolio. You’ll be able to track the progress of any service request you make through the Service Central portal, which is accessible 24/7 from any device. The ability to use Service Central to request the services provided by other Corporate Services Directorates will be rolled-out as per below:
While we continue to add more staff services into Service Central, staff can now access information about all Corporate Services for staff in the Service Central portal’s searchable knowledge base. This is a rich resource with 800+ articles available to answer your most frequently asked questions. If you have a service question, the Service Central search bar is the ideal place to start. If you can’t find the information you need, you can suggest a new article to be added to the knowledge base. You can also leave feedback to let us know what information is helpful and what could be improved.
I encourage you to use the search bar in the Service Central portal or explore the Directorate knowledge listings to see what information is available to you. Options for sharing your feedback can be found at the bottom of the portal. Your comments will inform our continual improvement of services to best support you in your work activities.
Staff can include an additional question in the Student Evaluation of Learning and Teaching (SELT) survey for units that are offered in Term 2 (Foundation Studies) (202334).
