Academic promotions workshops

Workshops are held annually for Academic Staff considering applying for Academic Promotion and Academic Staff Supervisors supporting staff through the Academic Promotions Process.

Preparing for Academic Promotions for Applicants Workshops

Academic Staff members considering applying for promotion this year or in the future are encouraged to participate in Preparing for Academic Promotions Workshops occurring in April 2018. These highly interactive workshops, which have been well received by previous participants include:

  • An overview of the Promotions process, including important information regarding changes as a result of the annual promotions review.
  • Presentation by a recent successful applicant that covers how they planned and prepared.
  • Guidance from the Chair and an experienced member of the Academic Promotions Committee about the Committee’s expectations of applications.
  • A questions and answer session that provides participants with the opportunity to ask questions of the panel of presenters.
