A message from Acting Associate Vice-Chancellor (Victoria) Associate Professor Joe Fleming:
The Track is a new initiative at the Melbourne Campus and is situated on the ground floor of Daniel Mannix Building, Young Street, opposite the entry to the carpark.
When you enter The Track you are at starting grid, and here you can meet Luke Jongebloed, Administration Officer (Sport Programs), Health, Sport and Wellbeing, and other fantastic students.
But what exactly is The Track ?
I took the opportunity to have a look over this facility during the week. It is a welcoming and fun place to gather.
It is a new dynamic space that embodies Team ACU’s Health, Sport and Wellbeing (HSW) values through an active indoor/outdoor setting. Unlike any other space at the University, The Track hosts a uniquely designed student engagement area for co-curricular activities. Through HSW programs, individuals and teams are assisted to establish networks and communities that will keep students on track for the duration of university and beyond.
The Track is a vibrant hub where students and staff can participate in club activities, catch the latest game or have a hit of table tennis. The new space welcomes a spot for students to connect, form friendships, network and access information for our sports clubs, social sport, fitness classes and community events.
You can find more information about The Track on Facebook by searching for @TheTrackACU, or on OrgSync by following clicking here.
Please come along to the opening of this exciting facility on Thursday 3 August at 6pm. Please RSVP by email to firstname.lastname@example.org
