Leadership and mercy in 2016

A message from the Associate Vice-Chancellor Brisbane Professor Jim Nyland: As the year winds down and we are able to meet ourselves coming backwards please find time to enjoy the following short films that capture some of the great work at ACU Brisbane during the Year of Mercy. The first is the Vice-Chancellor and Archbishop panel discussion on the topic of Leadership and Mercy held in Brisbane earlier this year:

The second is the Narratives of Hope project - a community engagement initiative between The Institute for Advancing Community and Engagement (Janine Quine), and Equity Pathways (Melanie Seal Moradi), that inspired the McAuley at Banyo campus community to come together and get involved in providing a voice for the vulnerable.  I had the privilege of playing soccer with Jahangir in the ‘Kicking Goals Together’ competition and (as you will easily imagine when you see him in the film) he ran rings around me.

Enjoy, and Merry Christmas,

Jim
