Access to LEO systems

Accessing your learning materials should be fine from overseas as long as you use your ACU student login. However please be aware that slow internet can result in pages failing to load, so be prepared to persevere. Some students have had better success using mobile phones rather than computers to access learning materials.

We have tested access to the following software from China:

  1. LEO
  2. ECHO360
  3. Turnitin
  4. Equella files
  5. Leganto reading lists
  6. Library articles.

Accessing lecture recordings

ECHO360 lecture recordings for students. Lectures can be accessed either live or by watching the recording.

Note: If you have problems using Safari – note the instructions here https://help.echo360.com/hc/en-us/articles/360035038992

Contacting ACU from overseas

  • An International Student Assistance Hotline is open from Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, and 24 hours on the weekend on: 1800 180 391.
  • AskACU may be reached by phone at 1300 ASK ACU or SMS at +61 427 522 268 (Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm).
  • LEO Support may be reached by phone at 1800 246 442 (Monday to Friday, 8am to 10pm Sydney Time, and weekends, 9am to 5pm).

Note: When contacting 1800 numbers from overseas, callers must use [International dial out or "exit" code] + [61 (Australia's country code)] + [1800 number]

The exit code from China is 00 – this code might be different if a student uses a prepaid calling card.

For example, to call LEO Support, Chinese students may have to dial: 00 61 1800 246 442.
