The main way academics will send notices out to students in their unit is through an Announcements Forum.
Many academics will also set up additional forums for questions and discussions, allowing students to publicly (within the unit) ask questions. Lecturers, tutors and other students can then respond. The advantage of this is that you might only need to answer the same question once. For more information on using Forums, please see LEO Guides: Forums.
Online classes and webinars can be run by lecturers using Zoom. All staff are able to access Zoom using their ACU login details to run scheduled and ad-hoc meetings.
It is possible to send individual students a message through LEO's in-built messaging function, either to an individual or to several students at once.
LEO can also send notifications through emails, or as an alert when users receive a message or notification. All LEO users can configure how and when they receive notifications.
