At ACU you can use the following tools in LEO to communicate with your students in real-time.

Zoom

Zoom is available to use at ACU for running meetings and online classrooms. It is a fast and easy to learn system that can support many users and is the most widely used online meeting room tool. Zoom includes features such as:

• Screen and application sharing and interactive whiteboards
• Breakout rooms for group discussion
• Chat, polls, and other useful functions.
• Best for beginners, with a low learning curve and good support.

Hosts may record online sessions for playback later. Recordings can be saved locally or to the cloud (which are saved into Echo360 automatically).

The Chat activity

Chat is a simple text-based chat room tool that can be added to your LEO unit, which allows you to communicate with your students in real-time via instant messaging.

The functions provided by this activity are much simpler than those of a live classroom, and can be used where a synchronous solution is preferable to other asynchronous LEO activities.
