ACU has recently decommissioned fleet of Car Pool Vehicles and have replaced them with a modern fleet of Hertz Australia Rent-a-car options.  Please book vehicles by calling Hertz on 13 30 39 or book via the website. You can also request site delivery of the vehicle by calling Hertz and requesting delivery after you have made the booking. Further information including the pickup and drop off locations can be obtained through the Campus Concierge Desk. Please ensure that you refill the fuel tank, check for any damage and remove any personnel belongings when you return the vehicle.

Parking remains a premium on all ACU campuses as not all campuses offer car parking facilities. ACU Carpark Management Policy outlines the guiding principles.  Properties & Facilities is responsible for the management of car parking on all campuses.

Continuing and fixed-term staff can apply for reserved car parking on CBD campuses subject to availability. Parking is not available to casual/sessional staff. Request for parking can be made through the Concierge Desk. An application and the application process will be provided.

Properties & Facilities maybe able to assist for temporary parking arrangements (due to illness, injury etc.), however doctor’s certificate will be required. The allocation of a temporary car parking space will be based on availability.

All contractors, service providers, vendors and courier operators are required to liaise with the local campus Facilities Manager who will coordinate the access.

Properties & Facilities coordinate logistics for all functions e.g. seminars, cultural events, corporate meetings or functions.

All requests, including catering, room and equipment setup should be placed via the Web Room Booker.

Please note that if the event is scheduled outside of the University core business hours, additional fees and charges may apply to cover the costs of the event. No event is permitted on campus without at least a security guard present to provide emergency support and first aid assistance if required.

Campus lockers are available to staff and/or students and are conveniently located near or adjacent to end of trip facilities. Each locker is supplied with a combination lock to store personnel items up to midnight on the same day. At midnight all lockers default to open for security purposes. Unfortunately ACU cannot take responsibility for any loss of stolen items deposited in any lockers.

Campus Concierge can provide further information about the location of all lockers and end of trip facilities on your local campus.

The Campus Concierge team is responsible for managing lost property. All lost property found on campus should be handed to the local Concierge.

Lost property is retained by the Concierge for a period of 60 days, then items will be discarded or donated to charity.

Your Campus Concierge can assist with the incoming and outgoing business mail for staff on campus.

Incoming mail

All incoming mail from Australia Post will be sorted and processed the same day it is received. Mail will be delivered to the department or faculty at least twice a week pending the volume and work load. To reduce the volume of mail, staff are encouraged to redirect any professional subscriptions, magazines, online purchases to their home address or to contact local Australia Post Agent to discuss other delivery options.  Properties & Facilities will not deliver perishables, food, wine or any other consumables due to health and safety risks.

Outgoing mail

All routine business envelops and mail can be dropped off at the Campus Concierge Desk or the identified drop box on your campus. Australia Post will collect all outgoing mail. The Campus Concierge Desk will arrange all bulk outgoing mail and will assist with coordinating postage costs, collection and logistic movements.

Courier delivery

Campus Concierge will ensure that all business courier deliveries are handled efficiently and promptly by notifying the receiver by email that a package maybe collected. Staff will have until 3pm to collect the parcel from the Concierge Desk. Remaining items will be relocated to the mail room for dispatch on the next available delivery date.

ACU have rooms available for meetings and event bookings across all campuses.  Teaching Spaces are prioritized for teaching activities by Timetabling with some rooms booked up to a year in advance.

Non-teaching rooms should be booked by staff directly through Web Room Booker, however Campus Concierge staff is available to assist if additional information is required.

If catering or any special arrangements e.g. teleconference facilities are required, we request that you liaise with local Campus Concierge Manager.

Each campus has dedicated staff areas, supplied with milk, tea, coffee, and sugar and cleaning supplies. When supplies run low, staff should submit a request via Service Central at

Staff are encouraged to monitor refrigerators and ensure that regular clean-outs are arranged.

If additional cleaning is required after a staff event, we request that you submit a cleaning request via Service Central at Additional charges may apply.

ACU ID card is a multiple purpose ID card that will enable staff to gain access to pre-determined areas, buildings and rooms throughout the ACU national portfolio.

If you require a new swipe or a replacement card, submit a request via Service Central at Please ensure that you also provide a passport quality photo of yourself.

The new card may take up to three days to be processed.  The local Campus Concierge will notify staff by email. The new card must be collected in person to maintain the security protocols across all ACU campuses.

Any request for metal keys must be made in person at the Concierge Desk and application forms completed accordingly.
