Business Continuity Planning at ACU

We focus on understanding the operating environment, what we need to keep doing immediately after a disruptive event, and how we learn from the experience to build organisational resilience.

The key objectives of business continuity are to:

  • proactively improve ACU’s resilience against disruption to its essential services
  • provide a rehearsed method of restoring the University’s ability to discharge its essential services to an acceptable level and within an acceptable timeframe after a disruption
  • deliver a proven capability to manage a business disruption and protect ACU’s interests, reputation and people.

The University has established a Business Continuity Project and steering group to guide the development and implementation of a University-wide Business Continuity Plan and Management Program.

Business Continuity Plans and Resources

Business continuity plans (BCPs) have been developed for all critical processes that occur within the University. A review of each organisational unit's BCP is performed every 6 months (March and October).
